Moonrise over Barnegat Light film Oct 28, 2023 by Lisa Ball. The moonrise over the lighthouse is one of the favorites photos of LBI. Photographers gather every full moon to snap the perfect photo. How do they do it? The location matters. There is a nice private beach on High Bar Harbor that is right in line with the moonrise. Photographers use different lenses to get the perfect shot. A longer lens will result in a bigger moon. Some photographers will shoot from across the bay with a very large lens. October’s Hunter moon happened on a warm Saturday night. The wind was calm and the sky was clear. What fun it was to capture the moon.
